Hämeenlinna
Hämeenlinna, Kanta-Häme
We visited Hämeenlinna with children aged 6, 8, 9, and 14. The day was spent exploring the castle itself, and in the evening we stayed at Aulangon kylpylä. The children enjoyed exploring the castle and asking questions about why, when, and how things were done. The afternoons were spent swimming. In the evening, we took a walk around the area near Aulangon kylpylä. Although it was a lot of walking, these kids are used to it. There are plenty of things to see in Hämeenlinna for a family like ours, and we had to come back because we only had one day. Age recommendation: suitable for all ages. Partly paid. It's worth visiting here all year round.
