Kotka is a perfect mini-holiday destination for families, especially for those who are enthusiastic about ships. The Merikeskus Vellamo and Katariinan meripuisto (ice cream stand, playgrounds, beach, Muumitalo, beautiful sea views!) are excellent choices for families. Maretarium and Sapokan puisto (which also features a nice playground) are also great options. Suitable for all ages. Some attractions are paid. It's worth visiting Kotka: during the summer / all year round.
