Kuopio Animal Park

The Kuopion eläinpuisto is a lovely petting zoo in Kuopio, just a short drive from the city center. There are many different animals to see, plenty of space to move around, a barbecue area for eating your own food, and good facilities for children. Our little children had a great time.
This is a peaceful place to spend a whole relaxing summer day. There are petting zoos and outdoor activities, as well as the opportunity to barbecue your own food in several places. There are old tractors for children to play with and swings for climbing. There is a nice café and clean restrooms. You can pet friendly animals from behind the fence and feed them, for example, with leaves of a birch tree. There are also picnic areas and snack spots, some of which are under a canopy. There is also a large sandbox.
