Purupakan recreation area is a suitable destination for families. The area features a sandy beach and a nature trail, which includes a suspension bridge crossing the river. The parking area can accommodate approximately 8 cars, and it can be challenging to park multiple vehicles. The beach has a sandy bottom and is not suitable for strong swimmers, as the water depth increases rapidly to about 2 meters from the shore. From the parking area, a nature trail begins, leading to the suspension bridge. Directions: From Merikarviantie, turn left onto Sähkötehtaantielle when approaching Tuorila from the direction of Merikarviantie. At the end of Sähkötehtaantielle, you will find Purupakan campfire site and beach, which is popular among hikers and anglers. Recommended age: + 4 years. Admission is free. We recommend visiting Purupakan during spring and autumn.
